Mom and Dad,
I do not know where to start because without you I would not be here on the face of this earth. Thank you for everything you have ever done because there is no way I will ever be able to repay you back for all the things you have done for me. I hope that one day I will be able to pay you back for all that you have done because you have shaped my life in more ways than I have ever told you or thanked you for.
Thank you for attending all my sporting events, endless tournaments and cheering for me. I cannot thank you enough for being there when my team would win or to be there for a shoulder to cry one when we lost by a heart breaker. Thank you for teaching me how to be a compassionate person and teaching me how to treat others like how I would want to be treated. Thank you for teaching me how to be the best person I can be, because I would not be the person I am today without you by my side. I know now that all the years of you telling me to believe in myself have paid off because I now know who I am. Thank you for pushing my to push myself and not settle for second best.
Thank you for the countless nights of sitting at the kitchen table with me doing countless hours of homework. Thank you for not letting me toss in the towel when I could not find the right answer or when I could not comprehend the lesson we learned from class today. Thank you for when I came home after not doing the best on my first math test and wiping the tears from my face and telling me it is going to be okay. Thank you for the countless hours being spent in the car when I got my permit teaching me how to drive. I know that being in the car with a student driver is very hard because let’s face it we are not the best. I would like to thank you for letting me still drive the car after I have you a heart attack when I almost got into a wreck with each and every one of you in the car.
Thank you for going with me to help find my future college, and for celebrating with me because you realized that I was going to be starting my future soon. Thank you for being there for me when I would talk to you about my future and how I cannot wait to soon be making a name for myself. Thank you for as the days winded down for me moving into my future dorm room, for sitting there and talking to me each night. Thank you for when on the move-in day for college you wiped the tears off my face and told me that I will be doing great things. There are so many things I could thank you for and I wish I could repay you for all you have done for me hopefully this is a good start.
