College can be a stressful time and sometimes overwhelming for students. If you are a college student, or if you’re just feeling stressed out from a hard week, these are some tips that will help to make you feel refreshed and focused.

1) Meditate: Take some time to just sit back and relax. Sometimes stepping away from work can help you to gain more energy and focus. Take some time to just breathe and remember that college is a time to enjoy. Just close your eyes and forget about that midterm you are cramming for. Odds are you will get an even better score after meditating for a few minutes.

2) Exercise: Go for a hike or throw a Frisbee. Getting some sunlight will help to get you out of your house and away from those books for a little while.

3) Watch Netflix: If the stress of school is getting to you, snuggle up with a blanket and your favorite show on Netflix. Make sure to watch it in 30-minute increments, though, because it can be addicting.

4) Vent: Sometimes when life is getting the best of you, it can be relieving to talk to someone. Get out all of your anxiety by talking through your emotions rationally with a close friend or family member. Then you can come back and tackle your work with a clear head.

5) Go for a drive: Driving can be extremely relaxing. Just roll the windows down and take in the fresh air. You deserve it.

6) Run errands: Instead of worrying and stressing about all of the work you have to complete, get things done. Go to the grocery store, do your laundry, or clean your room. This will make you feel accomplished and help you relax and feel proud of the progress you are making. Sometimes doing errands can help to take your mind off of schoolwork, but you are still being productive.

7) Eat: Take a break, and go grab a bite to eat. Nourish your body so that you will be able to tackle your next task with a replenished mind.

8) Go shopping: Wander around Target, the mall or your favorite boutique. Surround yourself with things that you like. Buy yourself a reward for all of your hard work.

9) Get creative: Take up a hobby like painting, drawing or pottery making. Do something that frees your mind from all of your grueling schoolwork.

10) Take a social media break: Go back on social media. After all, you have been depriving yourself from it all day in order to get some work done. Now go post a status about how productive you’ve been all day and how ready you are for that exam.

Now that you have these tips, hopefully, they will help you to feel refreshed, focused and ready to tackle the demanding academic aspects of college. Don’t forget college is a time to find who you are, and there are other ways to do that besides just hitting the books.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
