7 Sweet Ways To Support Your Boyfriend During Sports Seasons

I never thought I would, but I fell in love with a sports fan. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against sports, but watching sports is not my ideal pastime. But I do care about my boyfriend very much and he cares about sports (and God and me) very much too. In our time together, I’ve learned a few things about how to love him during sports seasons that I’d like to share with you guys. These are not guaranteed methods, but hopefully they can help you:

1. If they drive you crazy with their fanatic mindsets, don’t watch every game with them.

Yes, it’s nice to join them for some of the games, but it’s not required.

2. Constantly reassure them that it will be OK if his team doesn’t win.

Don’t be too pushy about it, but do remind them that there are more important things in life.

3. If their team is winning, celebrate with them!

It’s pretty fun and let’s be real, they can be pretty cute when they get excited about this stuff.

4. Don’t be upset every time they choose to watch a game rather than spend time with you.

If it’s consistent, bring it up in a calm manner. I’m a big proponent for balance in life, regarding all aspects.

5. Buy a shirt for their team and wear it on game days every now and then.

This is a simple, but impactful, way to show your support.

6. Take them to a game for their birthday or some special occasion.

This is sure to be a slam dunk, home run, touchdown, etc… you get the point.

7. If they want you to join them for watching a game on TV, make some snacks.

Homemade muffins are a good option.

What it really all boils down to is finding a balance, a balance between supporting his love for sports/his team and also reminding him that this is not the most important thing in life. If you can help him remember that, you’re a pretty dang good girlfriend. Good luck ladies!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
