Summer vacation is the time to take a break from school and just relax. As college students, we try to work, budget, and save money all summer to help pay tuition. Now working is good, but that's not much of a break because the average college student works during the semester anyway. 1. South Padre Island, Texas.
Not only can it be a great place for your spring break trip, but it is also a great inexpensive place for a summer weekend getaway for you and your friends. It has beautiful white sand and clear water, and it is the only island in Texas. There is never a shortage of things to do and it is just a drive away.
2. Great Wolf Lodge, Calif.
Is an indoor weatherproof waterpark in California. Not only is it a family-friendly resort but it is also a great inexpensive place for you and your friends to enjoy this summer. You don't have to be bothered with sunburns or the hot sun at the Great Wolf Lodge. So if you want some fun that's not in the hot sun, this is the place to be.
3. Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Here you can enjoy a trip to the boardwalk and ride the 200-foot sky wheel. They have over 50 mini-golf courses and you will enjoy their many amusement parks. But it is summer, so you know you have to take a trip to the beautiful beach. Myrtle Beach is the perfect summer getaway spot for either you and your friends or you and your family.
4. Atlantic City, N.J.
If you're a person who likes to test their luck than this is the place for you. The casino scene in Atlantic City is amazing and I promise you, you will stay occupied for hours. But there is also an amazing boardwalk with live music, rides, and attractions. Oh, and you can't forget about the club scene.
5. Rainbow Springs, Fla.
It's the fourth-largest spring in Florida. It is a privately owned attraction which is great for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. It is also great for camping and picnicking. If you are a bird lover this is a great place to go bird watching. Not only is this a great inexpensive place to go for a summer vacation, it is also a great place for you and your boo to enjoy on a weekend getaway.
6. Niagara Falls, Canada.
This is a vacation full of water. Niagara Falls is a collection of three waterfalls in Canada. Enjoy the famous boat ride where the water falls right in front of your eyes, feel the mist on your face, hear the waves, and enjoy the breathtaking view. It is a safe boat ride that everyone will enjoy.
