Whether you are a high school senior and have prom or in college with gala or formal approaching, you are most likely looking for long lasting makeup. Here are some great makeup products that will have you looking flawless.
1. Anastasia Brow Wiz
I never really understood the infatuation with filling in your brows until I found this product. Brow wiz retails for $21.00 at your local Sephora or Ulta. It is a fine, retractable pencil, and because of its size it makes filling in your brows easy, especially for a beginner. It is very difficult to over do it with this product, which is why it is so perfect for people who may not know how to fill in eyebrows. Anastasia has many great eyebrow products, however this is definitely best for a novice.
2. Colour Pop Satin Liquid Lip Sticks.
Liquid lipsticks have became very popular this past year. While brands like Anastasia and Kat Von D are bit pricier retailing for about $20, Colour Pop lipsticks will only cost you a whopping $6.00. Colour Pop has a wide variety of colors as well. The site includes photos of swatches on different skin tones (which is so important). While their ultra matte lipsticks are not the best, their new ultra satin lip formula is the bomb.com. The ultra satin lipsticks are very pigmented and are not as drying as the ultra matte formula. Colour Pop also has a wide array of cosmetics from highlighters to bronzers that many people rave over.
3. Smashbox Contour Kit.
Just like liquid lipsticks, contouring became a very popular make up trend this year. Contouring can totally change the way you look with just a stroke of a brush. The Smashbox contour kit comes with an angled sculpting brush, a contour shade, a bronzer, and a highlight. There are two shades for the kit a light to medium shade, and a medium to dark. The kit comes with a step by step guide on where to place each product. Again, this product is great for a beginner because it has all you need to contour in one kit, rather than having to go out and purchase a highlight and brush along with it.
4 Benefit Sun Beam.
The brand, Benefit, sells a wide array of liquid blushes and highlights, however this by far is my favorite for the summer time. Sun beam can be described as a gold/bronze liquid highlighter, it looks amazing on pretty much any skin tone. If you want to have a nice glow for the summer one useful tip is to mix a little bit of this product with your foundation.
5. Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Eye shadow primer is so important! It makes your eye shadow more pigmented, and helps avoid creasing. This is essential especially if you want your prom look to last all night. Urban decay has a regular version of the primer potions that blend with your skin tone, however they also have shimmery ones that will make your eye shadow stand out even more.
