Summer is here and along with the sweat, sunshine and sand comes models telling you you have to look unnaturally fake to even exist.
As a full time model and fitness expert, I thought I would do my part in educating the public, or the normals, on the steps in takes to succeed in losing the extra pounds of fat.

Every fit person's secret is a juice cleanse, and along with hunger suppressant lollipops and those gummy bears from the Kardashians, you are ready to go with scientifically-backed diet starters. Hey, if everyone else jumps, you should too!
Magical beginnings
This is you after one apple. #science

Now that the internet says it's okay to eat anything besides juice, pick yourself up after you've passed out. It's time to start dieting. The beginning of a diet is marvelous; everyone loves creating a realistic plan. You will look like Gal Gadot in 3 days. You have to, because that's how diets work.

Just a bite

Okay, so you don't look like a Victoria's secret model after one meal. What now? Cheat day!!!
You deserve this

Okay, so your first cheat day was yesterday after starting your diet. You're only on your third day, but you made it past your diet of a kale smoothie, so you deserve that 500 cal frappe. It's all about the self care, my friend, as long as self care means doing whatever you want.
Quitting
You failed. How did this not work? From juice fasts to starbucks you did what every model seems to be doing, what's wrong with you? What could you try next? You can eat less and exercise more in a healthy capacity-- but like, where is that on your instagram feed?
I am by no means trying to demean anyone trying to lose weight, but there are so many normalized problematic habits in our society that deals with food. I've found that many teenagers are looking for an easy fix, which often leads to starvation or harmful fad diets like juice cleanses. When these ultimately fail, many turn to binging which is just as harmful at times. Instead, we as a society need to realize that models not only are very lucky genetically but it is there job to be fit and beautiful. For the rest of us, put it farther in the back of your mind, and take organized, often slower steps to health. Love yourself first through your steps to health. You can do this.
