I love college football, and I am positive there are many other thousands of Americans who agree with me. But sometimes there are games that are slow and boring, quick blowouts, or maybe even low scoring snoozers. Despite these kinds of games, if you're a college football fan, then you know what it feels like to watch those stressful games that have you watching intently to the bitter end. So, let's assess the situation of a nail-biter football match. This one is for all of the college football fans out there.
Stage One: The Pre-game Excitement
What day is it? It's game day! The hype continues to grow as kickoff time approaches.
Stage Two: Kickoff Preparation
Grab your favorite hat, shirt, or maybe even pair of socks...we wouldn't want your team to lose all because you didn't wear your lucky jersey!
Stage Three: Observation and Analysis
Hmmmm, let's see. If we force a three and out, then march down the field using our timeouts wisely, we should be able to score before the half.
Stage Four: Halftime = Snack Time
All this analysis has got me craving some tailgate food.
Stage Five: The Hope Phase
Hopefully coach told the team exactly what we need to do for a successful second half. Let's go boys.
Stage Six: Bathroom Break
*Runs to bathroom during a commercial break*
Stage Seven: Tension builds
Stop. Calling. Flags. Against. My. Team.
Stage Eight: Nail-Biter
Down by 6 points. 3rd and long on the visitor 45, with a minute left.
Stage Nine: The Finale, aka the "Game-Changer"
When you realize you're praying for a miracle play.
Stage Ten: The Aftermath
Either you're doing this...
Or this...
