12 Iconic Halloween Costumes For The Spookiest Squad

After patiently counting down the days, it's time to pull out the cobweb decorations and purchase some pumpkins because the Halloween season is finally here. Personally, Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Everything about it (besides horror movies) excites me: the funky music, the sparkly decorations, the superstitious black cats. Of course, the best part by far is dressing up in a costume.

I think about what I could potentially dress up as throughout the entire year, yet I still end up being stumped on what to choose by the time October strikes again. Coming up with the perfect idea is a lot of pressure, and it's even more difficult if you have to try to coordinate a group of friends with you.

You need something funny but still scary, something that allows each member to express their individuality while making a cohesive group. It's a challenge, but I am here to guide you through the journey of choosing the best group costume, no matter how big or small your squad may be.

1. Clueless

Perfect if you have a trio that wants to rock the iconic 1990's aesthetic.

2. The Scooby Gang

You can execute this one with a group of couples, or just a few friends who wish they could ride the Mystery Machine.

3. The Avengers

For those who are looking to incorporate a lot of people, this is probably the best way to do it. Dress up as your favorite super hero or super villain!

4. The Wizard of Oz

Ideally, your squad will have their arms linked together the whole night, but if you can't, this still makes for a killer group costume.

5. Teletubbies

Giphy

You can go all out with full suits, or just tape some aluminum foil to your torso. Either way, you'll immediately invoke everyone's sense of nostalgia once people spot your group.

6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

These turtles make for an undeniably classic group costume. Bonus points if you find some cheesy pizza to bring along.

7. Toy Story

Since there are over fifty possible characters to choose from, you'll be guaranteed to include every member of your squad in some way.

8. Disney Princesses

If you're more focused on fashion than fear, choose from the long list of princesses that you have known and loved for years.

9. The Flintstones

Have a yabba-dabba-doo time at your Halloween party!

10. Harry Potter

Giphy

This is another option for those of you who have a bigger group to cater. Try not to argue too much over who gets to be Harry, and who is stuck being Ron.

11. Hocus Pocus

Giphy

Add some spice to the typical witch costume by dressing up as the three hilarious sisters that changed the game for Halloween movies forever.

12. Mario Bros

Celebrate the grand reveal of the new Mario Kart app by honoring some of the best Nintendo characters.

Now go off and have a frighteningly fun time with your friends this Halloween! And don't forget about that discount candy on November 1st.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
