Often people in high school think prom is a waste of money with the fancy get up, tickets, and food when you only use them for one night. However, it can lead to a super fun night as well as it a new experience of dressing fancy. There are many reasons that people should go.
It may cost a lot of money but dressing up classy for such an event is truly fun. Looking your best is always a mood booster for both girls and guys. Doing hair, makeup, having your nails done, getting ready is a huge part of the fun. You get out of school a bit early and just get to make yourself look nice.
Possibly the best part of prom is getting to show off how you look to the entire school and town. Generally, other people come to watch and the newspaper writes about it. Walking around looking the best you ever have is such an incredible feeling. You feel almost like royalty and you feel so proud that you look so stunning. Everyone is giving out compliments and is really happy. It is such a happy occasion that it would be a shame to miss it.
Prom is an experience everyone should have. Whether or not you are big into dances, like getting dressed up, or enjoy crowds of people you should go at least once. It is an incredible experience especially if you go with someone you are close to. Even if you don't have a significant other to go with, going with a best friend can be just as fun. You don't have to dance either, talking and enjoying yourself is the best part of prom.
So even if you don't want to go to prom, find someone to go with. Give the experience a try. It is worth it and if you really don't like it then you can usually leave early. But give it a try, maybe find one dance to dance to. It will be an experience like no other, you won't find anything similar to it in college.
