In today's society, it seems that it is a lot easier to see the ugly in every situation instead of the beauty. How much better would life be if we focused on the good instead of the bad?
We seem to rush through life and just focus on the bad, when in reality we just need to take a second to pause and really think about how we can find the beauty even if it doesn't seem like there is any.
Now, when I say beauty I might have a different definition than what you have in mind. When you think of the word beauty what do you think of? From an early age we have been taught that beauty is the tall and skinny model or the handsome actor in our favorite movie. We think beauty is the girl who has the perfect look or the extremely athletic guy. We think that beauty only comes from what we see on the surface.
I mean beauty as something completely different than that.
When I say to look for the beauty in every situation, I mean to look for the little things that might not seem that important, even though they really are. Look for the genuine good in all things. You can see real beauty in everything when you pay attention to the smallest details that might not be completely obvious at first. It forces you to slow down and really pay attention.
You see real beauty when you aren't just looking at the physical characteristics, but the soul of something or someone. You have to dig deeper than the surface. You have to invest your time.
You can find the real beauty of a person when: you hear their thoughts, you see the sparkle in their eye when they talk about something they love, they make you smile, you see them serving others, when they dream big, when they uplift others and so much more.
You can find real beauty in every situation, even if everyone else thinks it is impossible. You have to switch the focus from the negative parts of the situation to the positive parts of the situation. Every situation has a light at the end of the tunnel, but it is up to you to find it.
When you look for the beauty in every person and situation, life becomes so much better. When you can see the good in everything, you will be genuinely happy and enjoy life so much more.
"Blessed are those who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing."
