I sense you all wonder what formal recruitment entails and wonder how at the end of a week a girl gains an abundance of new sisters and Instagram followers...
I would like to inform all of you readers of this article of some very commonly misinterpreted information:
What girls do during formal sorority recruitment.

First, we must test the girls endurance. We must keep them awake for an entire week and force them to all wear matching t-shirts for two days in a row. This ensures they will be OK with matching all of us everyday for the rest of their lives.
We have to make sure they can run around in heels in freezing temperatures. This tests to make sure they will be able to go out with us on the weekends, in which we will run around town with inconvenient clothing while falling everywhere and freezing.
As the girls enter our homes, we have to clap and sing extremely loud to test that they can #1 talk really loud and #2 pretend they like it and want to learn the songs.
We make the houses really hot so that the girls are familiar with entering and exiting extreme temperatures. We can easily make sure they aren't easily turned insane by asking them their major and hometown everyday 12 times a day.
The girls are fed pizza and jimmy johns all week so we know they are OK with eating like a homeless 600 lb man.
Next, we have bid day in which we bring back the matching thing. We, again, force matching t-shirts and interaction with people you don't really know- But HEY, why not? We are sissies!
They follow us around all week when they come into our houses, this is training so that when we go to parties or whatnot, they know we all have to go everywhere as a group (especially the bathroom).
They are not allowed to have their phones while going through recruitment. This is critical for training for the amount of times they will lose and break their rose-gold iPhone 7s for the remainder of their college career.
It is all worth it in the end!! Happy recruitment!
