Here are some of my favorite collections from NYFW:
Marchesa
never fails to take my breathe away. All of the gowns for the S/S 2016 collection were so dream-like and whimsical. The little details in each gown really made them all the more extraordinary.Oscar de la Renta
is my absolute favorite designer. I was so sad to see him pass away last year. It is so great that Peter Copping is keeping his legacy alive by creating the most incredible designs. Oscar S/S 2016 did not disappoint. Most of the time, S/S collections have more light/pastel colors. I love that Peter took an edgier approach with darker tones. It’s great when designers don’t follow the status-quo.
Naeem Khan
showcased stunning designs filled with rich reds, yellows, blues, and pinks, as well as beautiful fabrics, stunning embroidery, and impeccable beading.
Kate Spade
is always cute and quirky, while also being chic and feminine at the same time. I am in love with their novelty bags and all of the unique twists on their clothing.
Tommy Hilfiger
really channels every girls inner Rastafarian. Bob Marley would be proud of this collection.
Carolina Herrera
This S/S 2016 collection is very chic, light, and feminine. The collection was dominated by pale pinks and whites. The structure of the clothing is also something that stands out. Carolina is not only a fashion designer, but an architect as well.
