As our senior year is coming to an end, one of us at another school, the other one graduating this semester, and I having to live without you guys for the first time in almost four years... It's time I thank you for the countless memories, endless laughs, and a lifetime of inspiration.
Our freshman year, we moved into our small residence hall not even knowing each other outside of awkward Facebook messages talking about our favorite movies, sleep schedules, and hobbies... the usual freshman random roommate conversations. And looking back, which we do from time to time for a good laugh, I am so glad we endured those awkward messages that brought us to the friendship we have now. Who else would skip class to go to the beach with me or skip the gym to go get dining hall breakfast, and encourage me to stay at the library longer to finish up my homework?
Thank you for the random night time beach trips when we were having bad days, wine nights, cooking dinner for me, playing games like HeadsUp, jamming in the car, and Harry Potter movie marathons . We have had our share of tension and been petty nonetheless, but it always taught me how to take a step back and admit when I was wrong. Thank you for forgiving me for not doing my dishes or not taking out the trash and being too loud when I came home. Thank you for holding me when I cry and not asking questions, but questioning me to make sure I was mentally and physically safe when I was at my worst. Because even at my worst, you still reassured me to be my best.
You're the kind of friends I can go out and party with or stay in and watch movies, and both are equally as fun when I have you guys around and I think those are the best kind of friendships.
Through every little moment, you guys made me a better person. They say in college is when you meet your friends for life, and we may not talk every day and we may live in different cities, but you are my forever friends. Through your friendships, I learned how to be a better friend and a more considerate person. And through your guidance, I learned how to be a better person. Having people in your life that help you grow in so many ways is impeccably important, and you guys are those people for me.
Thank you, University of South Florida, for your beautiful random placement system that brought me two of the most important people in my life. Thank you, to my roommates, for being my roommates even when we are not actually living together and being my best friends when you did not have to be.
