I never thought that I would make close friends my first semester of college. I had my best friends at home, and I did not think that I could ever survive without them. I still have my best friends from home, but I am so lucky to have found two girls in college that have become my best friends this semester. It is so rare to find people in life that you can be yourself around. This is a thank you to the two people who have helped me survive my first semester in college.
Thank you for keeping me laughing. The constant jokes and our silly moments together always have us laughing till our stomachs hurt. You are some of the few people that get my sense of humor, and if you don’t then you still laugh anyways. I’m lucky to have people that can laugh with me and make any day brighter. It is a great feeling to be around people that I can constantly laugh with.
Thank you for the endless car jams. You aren’t really friends unless you can belt out every line of "High School Musical" in the car with no shame, and thankfully you two will do that with me anytime we get in the car…or anywhere else for that matter.
Thank you for easing the homesickness. It is really hard to be away from home, and sometimes college can feel really lonely. There are days when I really miss my family and friends back home, but luckily I have you. You make me feel like I’m at home whenever I am with you. You two are my home away from home.
Thank you for being down to take thousands of pictures with me. We all know how important it is to document every aspect of college and then put the perfect picture on Instagram. You gladly take multiple pictures with me every time we go somewhere or do something picture-worthy. I am so happy I get to capture all of those moments with you.
Thank you for always having fun with me. We can literally have fun together in every situation. We have many adventures together at football games, around town, just hanging out in our room, or even just in the library. It doesn’t matter where we are we are always having fun with each other.
Thank you for being there during the good and bad times. You celebrate the small daily victories with me and you are just as excited as I am. It is so great to find friends that are proud of my accomplishments. I am so lucky to have you there to cheer me on, and be there for me during the hard times. Whether it is a painful breakup, a bad grade, or just an all-around bad day you are there to lift me up.
Thank you for coming over whenever I need you. It doesn’t matter the time of day if I need you, you will be there for me. It doesn’t matter if it’s just something simple like coming over to pick out my outfit for the night or coming over to talk when I need someone. You will always be there for me.
Thank you for trying new things with me. College is all about trying new things and growing. You are always willing to go on adventures with me. Everything is a learning experience and I feel like I have learned so much about life and myself because of you.
Thank you for wanting the best for me. You always know exactly how to help me in every situation. I am so thankful that you care so much about me, and that you always give me the best advice. You always lead me in the right direction when I don’t know what to do.
Thank you for loving me for who I am. By now you have seen the best of me, the worst of me, and every emotion in between. You accept me and love me for who I am. You want to be friends with the real me. I can be myself around you guys and I am so thankful for that.
Thank you for your friendship. God really blessed me when he put you two in my life. I am seriously so lucky to have found two incredible friends at college. I could not survive college without y’all.
