Taking this song from President Carter to President Sullivan

'Right Above It 'By Lil Wayne: UVA Version

This song is best sung to Lil Wayne's "Right Above It." I was just feeling really inspired so I made a UVA version of it. I was coming back from my "last midterm exam," feeling good, listening to music on high volume, and then "Right Above It" came on shuffle. The rest is history.

Who else really trying to mess with the Honor Code
High fived Groves like a bro
From the Harry Potter room to the a capella shows
And I wanna tell you something that you probably should know
This is that pretentious UVA song flow and uh
All these emails being sent to me
Cause I'm hella involved and got Balz like Dobie
That’s why I pick and choose, I don’t get things confused
I got that Clark study room, got that midterms blues
We walk the same path, but I got different shoes,
Live in the same building, but I got different views
That’s why UVA’s great: putting our minds to use
Don’t like my vodka sodas single, I like my shots in twos
And these days all the Wahoos are down to roll
I hit Alderman or even head to Mad Bowl
Clicker questions got me sickened, this class is movin' kinda slow
Just tell my friend to tell the teacher that it’s time to go

Now tell me how you love it
You know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it,
We on, it's UVA motherf***er
If you ain't running wit it run from it motherf***er
Alright, now somebody show Cav spirit in this b****
I'm heading back home from my last midterm exam, you dig
I got flashcards in my boot purse,
And I don’t bust back, ‘cause I’m at Trin first

Meet me on the Northline, yes I'm in the building
Up all night, Clem’s feelin fine
Feeling fresh, feeling fly no UVA dine
Got told I'm a “buttkicker,” you know that’s a good sign
And you know I'm slapping on that bagged wine
And reppin my srat, see all my glitter shine
Men’s large tee and some vans
Call me T-Sully, I’m “very truly yours,” amen
As the Lawn’s gleamin’, Uguides doin’ tours
UVA is the best, even on Clemons first floor
Uh, wake up and smell the coffee
You ‘Hoos can’t see me, but never overlook me
I’m writing that paper, and ain’t no telling where it took me
Yeah, and I am a scholar so don’t push me

Now tell me how you love it
You know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it,
We on, it's UVA motherf***er
If you ain't running wit it run from it motherf***er
Alright, now somebody show Cav spirit in this b****
I'm headed back home from my last midterm exam, you dig
I got my flashcards in my boot purse,
And I don’t bust back, ‘cause I’m at Trin first

How do you say what’s never said?
Beautiful, new textbook, I bet that book look better read
Limping from the Corner, F***ity F***s are stronger than they said
I'm only a second year, y’know 14th grade
Basketball season about to start
Gotta hand it to Bennett, biggest DILF I ever saw
Wahoo offense, check UVA shots tickets
We passin by Rugby, headed to Grandmarc apartments
Uh, now come on be my lab partner
Lab coat lookin' so nice, goggles fogging up on her
Do it big and let the small fall under that
Damn where you stumbled at? From where they make Christian’s at?
Cav Man got the beat jumping like a jumping jack
Passin by Beta Bridge, walking past my favorite frats
UVA, we’re the heart of that
Cavs, nothing short of that,
We love our 'Hoos and 'Hoos got your back

Now tell me how you love it
You know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it,
We on, it's UVA motherf***er
If you ain't running wit it run from it motherf***er
Alright, now somebody show Cav spirit in this b****
I'm headed back home from my last midterm exam, you dig
I got my flashcards in my boot purse,
And I don’t bust back, ‘cause I’m at Trin first

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
