If You Flirt With Someone Who's Taken, You're A Piece Of Trash Who Doesn't Respect Girl Code

There is someone out there for everyone, so stop trying to take what clearly isn't yours

There's not a lot that can make me upset or jealous in my relationship. I'm one of the few lucky people who has found someone who is just as committed to our relationship as I am. I trust my partner to tell me the truth and in return, I do the same. We do not hide things from each other. We do not lie to each other. We understand and accept each other for who we are. We work on ourselves every day to be better for our partner. Sure, there are bumps in the road, no relationship is perfect. But it is how we manage those bumps that decide the fate of our relationship.

So, my only question for the girl who continuously flirts, hits on, and outright throws herself at my boyfriend, is, why? Do you not respect the girl code? Do you think he's as sleazy as you and would cheat on me even though I'm all he ever talks about? Do you not care how trashy you make yourself look? Do you not care about your reputation? Where is your respect for ME? Where is your respect for YOURSELF?

There is someone out there for everyone, and if you set your eyes on someone who is already in a relationship and shows zero interest in you, they are not your one. Eventually, one day, I hope you do find someone who shows you the love and respect you so desperately crave. I hope someone shows you what true love looks like, and that you don't have to sell yourself so short as to be someone's hookup or side piece. I hope one day you have someone who makes you just as happy as my boyfriend makes me, and I hope one day you realize just how shitty of a person you were to someone you didn't even know.

Because truthfully, what you did, was utterly and completely selfish and shitty. I only pray when you find someone who makes your world complete, that they don't do to you what you tried to get my boyfriend to do to me. I hope you find someone as loyal as my boyfriend; someone who tells you EVERYTHING, and I mean everything.

You may not think you did anything wrong. You may not even bat an eye or give it a second thought. But I do. I think about you and the situation often. I won't harass you on Facebook or show up to your work like some girls would do. But just know, I'm watching. I'm listening. I'm hearing everything my boyfriend tells me. I wish you well, but don't think you'll walk away scotch-free the next time you try to mess with something that isn't yours.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
