The end of the semester is finally near. With projects lining up, papers being assigned, and tests coming up, this is the time that college students start to panic most about their grades. We all want to balance our friends and our schoolwork, but at this time of the year, it just does not seem possible anymore. I know that this time of the year is one of the most stressful times for us, but I have a few reminders for you about the end of the semester to keep with you during the brutal next few weeks:
It is not the end of the world.
It is just a test.
Play hard, work harder.
Take time for yourself by walking outside, taking a nap, or doing whatever makes you feel good.
Space out your studying, cramming is not going to work.
Stay organized with what you have to do and when, and even make to do lists to ensure you do not forget.
Do not isolate yourself from your friends. You are going to have a whole summer without them, so make the most of the time now.
The library is your friend, so get comfortable with it.
Breathe.
Use your resources.
Give yourself a little more credit and do not punish yourself or your body.
Go for a jog to clear your head.
And most importantly, remember that it is going to be okay.
We all get overwhelmed when the end of the semester creeps up on us. It is okay, it is human, but you have to remember that you have gotten through the blood, sweat, and tears before, and you can do it again. Do not forget to take care of yourself and focus on the positive mind. Happy end of the semester, make it your best semester yet!
