No relationship is going to be perfect- and that's okay! But here are some deal breakers that just won't fly and will turn you away from a relationship real quick:
1. People who always have to be right/can't apologize.
Fights and arguments are inevitable in a relationship. It's going to happen no matter how well two people get along with each other.
To get over it, it's important that each person is able to admit when they're wrong and move on from it.
2. People who lack drive/ambition.
Someone who lacks the motivation to do well in school and in their career is a huge reflection on how they're going to go about the rest of their life.
There's nothing more attractive than someone who has the drive to succeed.
3. People who are clingy.
Spending quality time with your significant other is obviously important but you don't want to overwhelm them with a million texts and date plans because all that results in is leaving them feeling suffocated and will drive them away.
4. People who don't like to socialize.
As fun as it is to lay in bed all day watching movies with your bae, it can get boring to not get out and socialize and do something different!
Even if it's just having a few beers at your local sports bar and getting out of the house for a little, it's better than nothing!
5. People who have no sense of humor.
Being able to be silly and crack jokes around your significant other is a crucial part of keeping the relationship fun and alive!
If someone you're with doesn't laugh at your jokes or gets offended when you're just poking fun at them, it can cause some serious tension!
6. People who have no chemistry in the bedroom.
Along with emotional chemistry, sexual chemistry is super important for your relationship to last! If they're not liking it with you, they're gonna get it with someone else...
7. People who are overly jealous/possessive.
There's a fine line between someone being protective of you because they love and care about you and just being straight up PSYCHO.
Jealousy stems from how much your partner trusts you so if you find them getting overly jealous over little things, you may need to reevaluate your trust.
8. People who don't really listen to you when you talk.
There's nothing worse than telling a story and knowing your partner doesn't care about anything you're talking about.
Pay close attention to when your partner remembers little things about you from stories you've told them in the past, it says VOLUMES about that person!
9. People who can't get over their past.
We all have a past. We all have exes and people we've been emotionally/sexually involved with in the past. But it's just that- THE PAST.
If your partner is constantly bringing up their ex, even if they say it doesn't phase them, it phases them.
10. People who are addicted to their phone.
We all love being caught up on our social media apps and seeing what is going on, especially this generation.
But when you are spending time with your significant other, it's important to be present and in the moment and not so concerned with what everyone else is doing.
11. People who make no effort with your friends and family.
A relationship simply will not be successful if you don't have approval from your friends and family.
If your significant other doesn't care to make any effort in making good relations with the people in your life that you care about, they must not care about you a whole lot!
12. People who have no self-care.
No one wants to cuddle up with someone who smells like their last trip to the gym or kiss someone who tastes like the last meal they ate. And when it comes to their living space, you want to be able to cook a meal together in their kitchen without a million dirty dishes stacked in the sink!
13. People who have no trust.
PAY ATTENTION TO RED FLAGS! If your partner is constantly turning his phone away from your view when texting someone or is skipping out on your plans without an explanation- one word: SUS.
14. People with no change/excitement.
Some traditions can be cute and special in a relationship like a specific restaurant you both go to a lot or a show you like to binge watch together.
But it's important to switch it up sometimes! Do something different that you normally wouldn't do like go to the beach for the day or go for a walk and have a picnic.
Change=excitement!
15. People who don't accept your flaws.
The most important thing to remember is no one is perfect. As much as your boo may say they love you, they have to accept your flaws because we all have them.
Being in a relationship with someone means loving and accepting every aspect of them! The good and the bad. If you find your partner constantly ragging on you for your imperfections, GTFO!
