It's the most wonderful time of year! *Cue loud screaming/singing and color coordinated outfits.* The exciting in-between period when summer is winding down but classes have yet to begin indicates the beautiful/stressful/wonderful/tiring event of sorority recruitment. Just in case you're not familiar with the ins and outs, "Parks and Recreation" is here to help.
1. Everyone moves back and cannot be happier to be reunited with sisters.
2. Bright and early, the first day of recruitment training begins.
3. After just a couple of days, you start to lose your voice.
4. Don't forget the pre-recruitment shopping panic.
5. But then you use it as an excuse to buy more new clothes than you actually need.
6. Even brighter and even earlier, the first day of recruitment begins.
7. Everyone is beyond excited to meet the first round of girls.
8. The doors open, and you're just focused on staying in rhythm.
9. It's finally time to talk to the first girl. and you're pumped.
10. While making small talk, you may start worrying about the next conversation topic.
11. Sometimes, conversation gets tough.
12. It's the moment you've been waiting for... possibly spotting your future little/grand-little/great grand-little.
13. As days and rounds go on, you realize your feet are turning unusual colors.
14. You've never known exhaustion like this before.
15. You become delirious.
16. Napping in between rounds (and basically every second you're not talking to someone) becomes the norm.
17. Throughout the few days, you also realize you have no voice.
18. Pref day rolls around, and you're getting major feels.
19. The bonds between your sisters and the meaning of your letters are unreal.
20. Sadly, recruitment ends, but BID DAY IS HERE.
21. Welcoming the new pledge class home makes it all worth it.
Bring it on, recruitment. We're ready for ya, PC15!
