Sorority Recruitment As Told By Animals
Total Sorority Move

It's the best time of year for sorority girls, recruitment is here!

This means hundreds of PNM's will experience the roller coaster of sorority recruitment for the first time. Although it is the most rewarding two weeks in any future Greek's college career, it feels more draining then anything. It can often feel like you're just a number being herded from house to house, mindlessly girl flirting with people whom you have nothing in common with. Every sorority member that you talk to during formal recruitment has gone through the same exact process and found herself a home with over 150 sisters. So going into the process with an open mind and some humor will help keep you sane.

Somewhere in the middle of your adjustment to college, sleep deprivation and confusion with the sorority recruitment process, you will feel like these adorable animals below, but that's ok since they're still cute.

1. Getting ready for day one with your roomies help

2. Walking to the houses from the freshman dorms

3. When you're wearing the perfect outfit and want every house to notice

4. How you feel after you've had the same conversation 20 times

5. When you had parties through dinner and finally get to each at 10 pm after hours of girl flirting

6. When you don't get your favorite house back

7. When you walk back into your favorite house, inside you're freaking out

8. But on the outside you're cool, calm and collected

9. The exhaustion you feel all day as you struggle to make it through class

10. Shoving a granola bar down your through as you run from house to house

11. Strutting into Pref wearing your absolute best

12. Sitting with every PNM waiting to open your Bid's

13. When you open your Bid from your favorite house

14. When you make your first sister friend at Bid Day

15. Crawling into bed after Bid Day still wearing your Bid Day shirt

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
