8 Reasons Why Fall Is Arguably The Best Season

OK, so we all know that fall is an amazing season, arguably the best of all four. Everyone loses their minds with excitement when fall comes around the corner and settles in. I have taken it upon myself to give the reasons that make our beloved fall the great season it is. So find your self a large pumpkin and great ready to Gronk spike the shit out of it, ladies and gentlemen, because fall is upon us!

1. Pumpkins

Probably the most versatile fruit known to man. We know that when it comes to fall everything either smells or taste like pumpkins. Pies, candles, your coffee, and almost anything we can make smell/taste like pumpkin. The possibilities are endless and no one is upset about it. Unless you are allergic to pumpkins and in that case I am so sorry. You should just skip this one entirely. There are pumpkin patches where you and all your friends can just frolic around and pick up these giant orange orbs and take pictures and post them to social media. The best part is you don’t even have to buy them and it’s not like the guy who runs this pumpkin patch is going to yell at you. He knows how everyone gets over pumpkins. Last but not least when it comes to October we get to just carve whatever the hell we feel like in them, bore a hole in the top of them, put a candle in them and set them on our porch for a whole month as decoration.

2. The leaves change.

This one really speaks for itself. Not much to say about it, but it still had to be listed.

3. Change in the weather

Yes, we all love summer and the shenanigans that come along with it, but there always comes a point where you feel like you're melting because of the heat. That’s where our good friend fall comes in to play. Fall brings us the cool weather, not too hot, not too cold. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Especially before winter comes a long and makes us wish we were all dead (R.I.P. Ned Stark).

4. Wardrobe switch up

Everyone loves it because now guys can wear their Brett Favre dad jeans along with their flannels and throw a football to a lab in an open field. You can do that in the summer but it just doesn’t feel the same. If you’re a girl, you go nuts over this too. Guys don’t really have that many options for fall clothing but this is where you shine, ladies. Uggs, leggings, scarves, vests, leather jackets, and all that jazz. We’ve all been watching the temperature every day waiting for it to hit 68 degrees to throw these clothes and now that it's almost here you better believe we’re all pumped.

5. October in general

It’s a whole month dedicated to being scared and who doesn’t love that? I understand some people hate being scared but they need to just tough it out for a month. Amusement parks all across the country come up with scare attractions for the month. Haunted houses are also a must. There’s Halloween which is just a treat for all ages. If you’re an adult and have kids, you get to dress them up in whatever they want to be and walk them around the neighborhood collecting candy and family memories. If you’re a child, you are a lucky one. This is your night. You walk around in whatever the hell you want to and people just give you free candy. Cherish this because it doesn’t really happen when you get to college. Not saying that Halloween in college sucks at all. We just have a different kind of fun (that’s all I’m going to say about that). Regardless of how you spend Halloween, it’s fun for all ages.

6. Football

Oh yeah. College and NFL football are back and that just makes the weekends so much more satisfying. Saturday you get to root for your school and Sunday you get to root for your favorite professional team. Even if you’re like me who gets his hopes up to see his team lose almost every Sunday, but hey it’s a Bucs life. Not to mention it makes Mondays something you low key look forward to with Monday night football. A long with that comes a game that can ruin relationships and the most cherished of friendships. Fantasy football. If you’re not prepared to make enemies with the people you love the most in this world don’t even bother playing this.

7. Thanksgiving

This is a holiday where you just get so dressed up with your family looking fresh to death and then don’t go anywhere at all. Maybe to your grandmother or aunts house but still, everyone gets decked out in their nicest outfits just to prance around the kitchen with their families waiting around to be put into a food induced coma. We wouldn’t have it any other way. The gift of food is all you need on this oh so treasured holiday. By the way, it doesn’t matter what strict diet you are on when it’s Thanksgiving you eat like the food is going somewhere. We don’t even know why we celebrate it really. Because pilgrims had a feast with Native Americans one day? It doesn’t matter as long as we all show up looking fly as hell and eat an immense amount of food and then immediately pass out.

8. Black Friday

The day after Thanksgiving otherwise known as D-day for shoppers. This day gets worse and worse every year. It’s practically the Hunger Games where you fight over appliances, clothes, and Ferbie dolls because they are on sale. It might seem insane but come on have you seen the prices they’re slashing! You would have to be an idiot not to strap on your armor and camp out in front of a Best Buy for three days. Let somebody look at you the wrong way in aisle 18 and it is game over, baby. You told your daughter you’re getting her a cabbage patch doll and you’d be damned if you don’t walk out of that store with one. Even if it means someone has to get put down. Also, the not so cool cousin of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, is two days later. It’s not that exciting but hey it exists.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
