One thing I definitely like doing is eating. All the money I have usually goes to one of four things: makeup, concert tickets, Choice Music's LA store, and food. So I know my way around a few LA eateries. I would live in a few if I could! So I've decided to compile a list of a few of my favorite spots. If any of you ever find yourselves in sunny SoCal, you might wanna give a few of these places a try!

1. Acai Jungle Bowls Cafe: Burbank, CA

Acai Jungle Bowls serves up bowls of pure, frozen acai berry with superfood toppings of your choice, like cacao nibs, bee pollen, and goji berries. It also has the classic faves like strawberries, banana, and mango. It's the perfect healthy option for a hot day, and it's super delicious. They also have mostly all vegan and organic sandwiches and smoothies as well!

2. Slurpin' Ramen: Koreatown, Los Angeles

I go here almost every weekend. It's a really bad habit, but it's so worth it! Authentic chashu ramen and even a 100% veggie option with all the toppings you want and nothing you don't. Plus it's in K-town, so there's a lot of cool things to explore. (Choice is like a 5 minute walk away, and GOT7 can have all my leftover money when I buy albums from there.)

3. Bon Bon Tea House: Northridge CA

Another place I tend to go to almost weekly. There's a ton of flavors to choose from, be it milk tea, plain tea, slushes, smoothies, and even yogurt! They even give drinks in a 'potted plant' style -- which means it comes with vanilla latte foam, crushed Oreo, and a mint leaf on top. And, they have the cutest kissy-face logo. I personally recommend the Brown Sugar Milk Tea or Aloha Pineapple Slush.

4. The Dog Cafe: Downtown Los Angeles

Coffee. Dogs up for adoption. You get to pet them. What more could you need?!

5. Okamoto Kitchen, aka The Anime Food Truck: Sherman Oaks, CA

A mobile restaurant of choice, Okamoto is definitely one of the more unique trucks I've ever tried. Delicious Japanese cuisine and super kawaii artwork. I also love the mochi cheese sticks. Amazing food when you can track it down!

6. Cafe Korobokgur: Koreatown, Los Angeles

Another K-town favorite of mine! A small, homey little cafe with the best drinks and kimchi fried rice I've ever had. Plus, the decor is so kitschy and adorable. They have everything, ranging from Jack & Sally to Totoro. It's the perfect place to take pictures for the #aesthetic.

7. Elbows Mac 'n Cheese: Brea, CA

Pizza Mac 'n Cheese. Spinach and Artichoke Mac 'n Cheese, Cajun Mac 'n Cheese, Pulled Pork Mac 'n Cheese -- any combination your little heart desires, they have it. They also have pizza, sandwich melts, salad, and dessert! Plus, you get free churros when you share your meal on Instagram. Worth it.

8. Sprinkles Cupcakes: Beverly Hills, CA

The perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth! They're the creators of the Cupcake ATM that people constantly Instagram. Another #aesthetic worthy place to go!

9. SomiSomi: Koreatown, Los Angeles

Ice cream with custard-filled, fish-shaped cones. Plus there's a lot of cool flavor combos, like chocolate/banana and green tea/milk.

10. The Hello Kitty Cafe: Irvine, CA

I, a loyal HK stand, will stand by this cafe until the day I leave this earth. Everyone needs to go. Even if you don't like Hello Kitty, you'll love the macarons. They even have amazing coffees and lemonade.

11. Old Town Mexican Restaurant: San Diego, CA

Authentic Mexican cuisine -- mariachi included! They even make their tortillas in the front of the restaurant, so you know it's fresh and real.

12. Porto's Bakery: Burbank, CA

There's a reason there's always lines out the door on weekends. That's because it's absolutely delicious! Amazing Cuban-style food and delicious pastries. Plus, it's near a lot of local vintage shops, so there's a lot of cool things to see!

13. Creme & Sugar: Anaheim, CA

There's more to Anaheim than just Disneyland. There's even UNICORN HOT CHOCOLATE. And that's what they serve at Creme & Sugar. They also have unicorn cake and bark. Basically 100% sugar. 100% of the time.

Stay hungry, my friends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
