It seems like everyone uses social media these days. Sometimes I get annoyed with it, but sometimes it works magic. It has worked magic for me on many occasions; for example, James Bay is playing at the Blue Hill Bank Pavilion in Boston on October 1st this year. I did not know that until I was scrolling through Facebook, and decided to click on the tour poster, and told my friend that he was coming to Boston. Of course we planned to buy tickets, and then a few days later on Facebook, I found the pre-sale code, and called my mom up and she bought the tickets for my friends and I. Good thing I found the code because the tickets were almost sold out. Social media can work that way. However, a week ago I was scrolling through Facebook once again and came upon a Snapchat story that was from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and it was a story about how a girl told a boy wearing a Vikings jersey that she loved him. After that the boy decided to try and find her with the help of Snapchat.
A love story unfolds on Snapchat, never would have thought of that. The Snapchat story is on the internet and it is pretty amazing to watch because one might not have thought of something like this happening. The Snapchat story soon had a geotag which was "Help Vikings Find Find Mystery Girl" The whole Wisconsin-Madison campus rallied together to help Vikings Fan find Mystery Girl which I thought was pretty cool. One Snapchat was a boy telling Vikings Fan that "Two things: You can sit right there and you can do your project, or you can get your ass up and find that girl man! She's looking for you!"
Another Snapchat sent to the geotag was two girls saying that this was like the Bachelor. There was some humor in the Snapchat story with these two boys saying that if anyone found them attractive you should come hangout with us or something like that.
Vikings Fan and Mystery Girl kept missing each other, but they soon found one another at the Kollege Klub Bar in Madison, and the other students showing their support on Snapchat were ecstatic as one girl said that this was the best dream that she ever could have had when she woke up the next morning finding out that Vikings Fan and Mystery Girl found each other.
This has to be one of the coolest news stories that I found that had to do with social media because it was like watching a movie unfold and hoping that there would a happy ending. So if you saw a girl or a boy that you like and you want to find them (if they go to school with you) try using social media as it might help you with your search.
