As freshman year quickly approaches, the excitement of who you have as a roommate rapidly approaches. For me, I would have to say more than anything I was nervous. I was so nervous that I was going to hate my new roommate. What if we had nothing to talk about? What if we didn’t get along? What if we were polar opposite people? Freshman year was filled with "what ifs." I started to realize as time went on that we were never going to be just roommates, we were going to be best friends. They say you meet some of your best friends in college, and they weren’t kidding. I had the pleasure of living with mine.
I will never be able to begin to express how grateful I was to have both of you guys walk into my life. The saying that you never meet anyone by accident has proved to be true. The memories that have been shared are priceless and will never be forgotten. Somewhere in all the madness, I found my best friends. As the years go by I have gotten to know what it means to have an irreplaceable friendship. I wouldn’t be where I am without you guys today so thank you for:
- Letting me be myself when I am around you
- For staying up with me to listen to me vent about whatever was on my mind
- Never letting me feel like I was doing anything alone
- For creating nothing but laughter in such a world full of negativity
- All your love and support
- The stupid inside jokes that no one else understands
- Being able to know exactly what the other person is thinking without having to say a single word
- Knowing how to handle me when I am at my worst
- Creating a friendship so strong that we can withstand anything
Most importantly, thank you for being my friend.
