Dating is supposed to be fun and easy-going.

You are getting to know a new person, going to different sites, trying out new things, and just having great time with company. Some people stress on how their hair looks or if they should be wearing a certain kind of outfit for the outing.

But, during the date most people emphasize on the small talk. Small talk should help you get to know your date.

It doesn’t have to be deep, but don’t stick with the traditional questions like, “how was your day or do you like your job?” The questions you can ask can be conversation starters, so you don't have an awkward moment of silence. Ask your date distinctive questions. You'd probably be surprised by the answer.

No one should put any pressure on dating.

1. What's awesome in your life right now?

2. What are you really terrible at?

3. What did you think you were going to be growing up?

4. What's the most rebellious thing you did growing up?

5. What's the strangest compliment you've ever gotten?

6. Are you a risk taker or someone who's more risk averse?

7. If you could only watch one genre of movies for the rest of your life, what would it be?

10. Do you have any hidden talents or surprising hobbies?

11. What's your spirit animal?

12. What makes you smile without fail?

13. What is your go-to comfort food?

14. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received, and why is it stuck with you?

15. Where would you live if you had no ties to any specific place?

16. What's the coolest/best/funniest/worst/what have you done thing that's happened to you lately?

17. What were you like in high school?

18. If you could teach a college course on any subject you want, what would it be?

19. What made you decide to study [insert college major]?

20. If you could switch careers, without any concern for money, what would you do?

21. What's your least favorite place?

22. What's your favorite thing to do around here on the weekends?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
