You are a great leader, doing your best.
Starve the starving and kick the skin
And bones to the gutter where
No one can see them. Where moss
Can grow from the ooze
That drips from the pipes
And floats in the air,
To let them see that you are
A good leader.
Kill everything. Be sure to always
Kill everything, and when you’re done,
Be sure to rest soundly that night and
Cover your hands in bleach and lye,
As sin doesn’t come out so easily.
Pesky stains that scream their reminders,
Thousands of ghosts hailing you as king
Murderer. Don’t forget to smile
When you no longer care.
Come back the next day and
Take the scraps, clean off the bones and burn the skin.
Take the brain, too, as it holds much information.
Clean out the skull, being careful to scrape out the sides,
And remove all signs
Of being human.
Killing, to you, is simply a means
To be anything that you want to be,
As long as that anything that you want to be
Is anything but a human being.
