Dear best friend,

Please be smart with everything you do now that I'm gone. Make sure you do all of your school work and that you are smart with your time. Remember to always have fun and to be happy, but don't stray from the important things in life.

Please never lose sight of who you are. You are a very strong, talented, gorgeous specimen of human and I never want anyone to let you believe otherwise. The best decision you can make is to love yourself first. Believe in yourself like I believe in you.

Please remember to strut your stuff. No one can dance like me, but you're the next best thing. You will always have a great fire of passion in your eyes when you slay a dance break. The stage was my sacred place, and now I hope that it treats you just as well.

Please remember to drive with your windows down, just like at the beach. Sing your heart out in the car. Laugh as loud as you can. Maybe on your way, you'll learn how to drive.

Please cherish every second of high school. No matter how dumb or boring it may feel, you definitely will miss it when you're gone and everything else keeps going. Remember to make the most of everything that you encounter on the way. Remember what I said about having fun. Just don't have too much.

Please make sure you leave your mark. Make sure you always do the best you can in whatever you do. You have the power to be great if you want to be, you just have to want it. You are the best candidate for being something incredible, and I believe that is exactly what you will do.

Please don't let dumb boys ruin your happiness. The only person in life that should rule your emotions is yourself. Don't let yourself get too distracted on your love life. You will find yourself a man who treats you like a princess, but in the meantime treat yourself that way.

Please have fun with your new friends. Make the most of every second you're with them. One day you will move away, and you'll all lose touch. You need to make as many strong connections as you can.

Finally, please don't forget about me and all the good times we've shared. We have had some of the best times in my life together, and I hope you can say the same. I wish I could be there or you here. It is the worst thing when you're sad and I can't yell at you in person or be sad and go to Chick-fil-A, but this is the way life has to go for now. I want you to be there when I marry a dumb boy, and I want to be there when you do the same. Remember me no matter what, please.
