I’ve got an exiting announcement for anyone and everyone having problems drinking enough water! (Remember that the recommended amount is eight cups, 64 ounces or two liters a day.) Whichever way you measure it, drinking enough water can seem like a daunting task. And with the summer heat quickly approaching, our bodies need it more than ever!

Personally, I’ve just about given up on keeping up with my required cups a day. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it's my forgetfulness, the culminating bathroom trips or the taste (or lack thereof), but I've developed a hatred for drinking water. But, I’ve recently discovered an adorable app that aims to solve this popular problem.

It’s called "Plant Nanny"! It’s free (with optional in-app purchases to enhance your game play), and available on both Apple and Android smart phones. It’s organized like a game, with such a gratifying and charming reward.

Type in your body and health stats, choose a plant, pot it and you’re off! Each time you drink a glass of water you tell your plant by holding down on the glass and watering it with the same amount that you've drank. With numerous species of plants to choose from (everything from a cactus to a 'snowbush'), watching your green friend grow will become an exciting part of your daily routine!

But be careful! If you don’t do a good enough job at watering your plant or yourself, then it starts to get very sad and droopy. Don’t water it enough, and you’ll lose your little buddy!

Once your new friend is fully grown, they are moved to the garden where each day they give you seeds of their own you can use as currency to buy more plants and different pots. Choose a new plant to pot and you're on your way!

I highly recommend this for anyone who has problems drinking enough water throughout the day. I've made it my goal to raise ten plants this year. Who's with me?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
