Planned Parenthood Only Murders 3% Of The Time, So it's Okay

If there was ever an epitome of pure evil, this is it.

Last week Planned Parenthood released a new ad reminding viewers that they provide a lot more than just abortion services for their patients. The ad features a variety of people talking about the things Planned Parenthood helps them with, none of whom mention abortion.

This isn't the first time Planned Parenthood has tried to distract people from their abortions. For years now they have been trying hard to draw more attention to the other services they provide and have reminded us time and time again that abortion is only about 3% of what goes on at Planned Parenthood.

So obviously, we would be crazy to ever question them.

Let's forget the fact that this 3% thing has actually been proved to be false, or that Planned Parenthood actually does make most of its revenue from abortion services or the fact that you and I are the ones supporting this organization. Even if they were actually being honest about these figures and the government wasn't supporting them, it would still be horrendous.

Let me also point out that the numbers do not matter here. Abortion could only make up 2% of what they do. It could be 1%. It could be .00001% and guess what, it would STILL be wrong.

I am just wondering, in what other situation would this logic be accepted? Where else in society would the idea of killing only a "little bit" be a legitimate argument?

If a serial killer pleaded guilty to killing a few people but pointed out that he spent most of his time volunteering, would he be let off?

You may not know it, but the Nazi Party actually did some very good things. They worked hard to conserve endangered animals, had one of the largest and most successful welfare programs in history, made medical advances and are credited with many modern inventions we use today. Why do we not talk about any of these things? Well, it is probably because they murdered 6 million innocent people (which is actually less people than Planned Parenthood has killed).

My point it that no matter how many good things somebody does, it should never justify a murder. As a woman I realize that birth control, flu shots and breast exams are very important things that women (and men) need, but no matter how important they are, they do not make murder okay. There is a way to take care of our women without having to murder.

Our generation cannot allow ourselves to be fooled by this organization. Rather than trying to distract from their abortion services, Planned Parenthood should stop performing them altogether.

In the end it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman. It doesn't matter if you are a republican or a democrat. It doesn't matter if you are religious or not. Killing a child should never be okay.

Our society is in serious trouble if accept this twisted logic. We cannot simply look away from this disturbing reality no matter how convincing their ads may be.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
