1. Cedar Point.

Home to the infamous Top Thrill Dragster, it's no wonder Cedar Point is the rollercoaster capital of the world. If you like roller coaster thrills and a great view of Lake Erie, Cedar Point is the place for you. Located in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Point is home to world record holding rides and five rides taller than 200 feet. If you're searching for something fun for the whole family this summer, you're not alone- as of 2013, Cedar Point is the most visited seasonal amusement park in the country. 2. Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

Ever since it's opening in 1875, the Cincinnati Zoo has provided countless fun and learning experiences to families all across the country. Spanning 75 acres in total, the zoo is a great way to get some exercise in this summer as well as get up close and personal with some of the coolest animals this planet has to offer. The Cincinnati Zoo is home to over 500 animals and has over 1.2 million visitors annually, making it a wonderful and unforgettable experience for the whole family.

3. Wildwater Kingdom.

For all you waterpark lovers out there, Wildwater Kingdom is the perfect place for you to spend your summer. Located in Aurora, Ohio, this 17-acre park has everything you need to have fun with the whole family. With 15 water slides and total as well as two children's areas, there is sure to be something for everyone. Wildwater Kingdom is even home to Thunder Falls, the tallest waterslide complex in Ohio.

4.Hocking Hills State Park.

Home to Cedar Falls, Old Man's Cave and so much more, Hocking Hills is a perfect place to get away and enjoy nature this summer. With over 2,000 acres in total, Hocking Hills has numerous campsites, hiking trails and natural attractions, as well as a zipline through the park. Ever since it was established as a state park in 1924, Hocking Hills has been the perfect place for nature lovers to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Ohio has to offer.

5. Kings Island.

Located in Mason, Ohio, Kings Island has been providing fun for the whole family since its opening in 1972. The 364-acre amusement park is home to over 80 rides, shows, and attractions; and is home to 14 roller coasters. Over 3.3 million people enjoy all that Kings Island has to offer each year. With all that fun packed into just one park, everyone in the family is sure to have a great summer at Kings Island.
