The classic Pinterest boards almost everyone has

Pinterest Productivity

Spending the majority of my summer on Pinterest didn't feel like a waste of time at all. It felt like I was planning my future and truly being productive. Through the countless hours I spent on Pinterest this summer, I realized that your Pinterest boards hold intimate details about who you really are. All the books you'll never read, recipes you'll never try, and DIY crafts you'll never make, and it's a fun way to trick yourself into thinking you're being productive. While every Pinterest board is unique, there are a few patterns that seem to appear in a few boards...

The Wedding Board

If you're a girl and you have a Pinterest account, it goes without saying that you already have your entire wedding planned out. Every single detail has been thought about, researched, and pinned to your "Dream Wedding" board. And I do mean every. single. detail. Gifts for your bridesmaids? Pinned. Your wedding day hairstyle? Pinned. Engagement photo shoot poses? Pinned. Something old, new, borrowed and blue? Pinned, pinned, pinned, and pinned. If we're being honest, you may even have lightening options pinned (do I want sunlight? Candles? Paper lanterns, even?!? All important things to think about. All pinned). And the dress. Oh, THE DRESS. You have so many options, "the dress" should honestly have it's own board at this point. From the cut, the style, the material, sleeves or no sleeves, lace or no lace, strapless or not, every detail has been thought out and pinned accordingly. All you need now is your future husband to propose (with the ring that has already been picked out and, you guessed it, pinned).

The Workout Board

Or, maybe the "Fitness" board, or "Thinspiration", maybe even a "Heathly Living" board. Whatever your variation, we all have one. The board that is constantly updated, yet rarely used. You'll re-pin those workout tutorials now and tell yourself, "I'll do that workout tomorrow.. or the next day... maybe." This is the board that really only becomes useful a few weeks before spring break. You're grateful you pinned all those "12 Steps to Toning Your Butt While Watching Netflix" workout tutorials last year, because you'll need them now more than ever. This board is also filled with countless "healthy eating" recipes that you promise yourself you'll try out one day. The reality is that you will literally never make those Baked Mozzarella Protein Chicken Rolls, but if you ever wanted to, you could. Because you have that recipe pinned. Thank you, Workout Board.

The D.I.Y. Board

An absolute classic on Pinterest. The "Do It Yourself" board is filled with all the things you might want to accomplish one day. Build your own bookshelf? You don't even read but being able to build your own bookshelf would be a great skill to have, absolutely repin. DIY Jello Lipstick? I don't know what that means but I like the way it sounds so heck yes, repin. How to knit a blanket in just 45 minutes? I've always wanted to learn to knit, repin that 'ish. From crafting on a canvas to mixing up your own shampoo, the "D.I.Y. Board" truly provides endless possibilities.

15 Times "Parks and Recreation" Summed Up Your Library Experience

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
