Hi. My name is Sally and I am a Pinterest addict. With over 25 boards and a little over 23.8 thousand pins, it’s clear that I have a serious problem. Because I’m such a pro, I’d like to share with you some boards that you never knew you needed… until now.
1. Big Little Board
You may already have a sorority board, but when it comes to Big/Little gift-giving time, Pinterest is the one stop shop for it all. Whether you’re a going to be a new mom, are planning for your great-grand baby, or not even pledging a house yet, it’s never too early to start planning crafts and basket ideas for your little one. Make sure you fill this board with tons of monogrammed crafts, letters galore, and enough glitter to even make Elle Woods scream in delight.
2. Organization Board
Who doesn’t love an organized life? Make this board to house all of your favorite tips and tricks to organize everything from your dorm room, desk at work, or future house. I love going on Pinterest and searching “college desks” and seeing all of the different ways people have stored their little knick-knacks and their school supplies. If you’re a nerd like me, I mainly use this board to post pictures of college student’s color-coded class notes. Also, if you find something that you would want to use later, store it here and make sure to check back when it’s time to get your own place. Remember, this board will make your life a whole lot easier.
3. Life Goals Board
This is my all-time favorite board. Fill this board with pictures of hot girls holding shopping bags and strutting around in their Louboutins. My Pinterest goals board is basically what I hope my life will be in five to 10 years. Some of my recent pins include people traveling the world, Mercedes, and pictures of guys I could definitely see myself marrying. Don’t forget to add plenty of pins of cute babies with hot dads holding them. Not only does this board provide eye candy, but it also lets me dream a little bit longer when I’m procrastinating.
4. Art Board
Here’s where you put anything and everything from inspiring quotes, funny TV lines, bright and interesting patterns, and actual drawings. My art board is where I grab new phone and computer backgrounds. It’s also where I store some of my favorite funny and sarcastic movie lines from movies like "Sex and the City" and "Clueless." One word to describe this board would definitely be colorful. Between the pretty patterns laced with vibrant drawings and bold sayings, this board is without a doubt one of my favorites.
5. Career Board
Since I’m obsessed with bettering myself in anyway possible and getting in head of life, of course, I have a board directed toward my career. Here I post anything from being a young woman in the working world to life lessons from past and present CEOs. I’m also a huge fan of reading. Books dedicated to increasing my success are also stored on my career board. Lauren Conrad’s Pinterest often has many unique pins directed toward the young girl in the fashion industry that I can’t help but not save. If I ever need help before a job interview, unsure of what I should wear to a cocktail networking event, or advice for updating my LinkedIn profile, I have a board directed to just that.
6. Cute Animals Board
If you don’t have a board dedicated to pictures of adorable animals, reevaluate your Pinterest game. This board should be solely for all things with four legs and furry tails. From puppies and kittens to baby monkeys and unique animals like llamas, this board is the ultimate cheerer-upper. Boyfriend become your ex boyfriend? Look at pictures of cute animals. Friends got you down? Look at pictures of cute animals. Feel like procrastinating your homework for a good hour? Here’s your place.
7. Holiday Board
Made for the sole purpose of long summer days when for some odd reason you can’t seem to get “Santa Baby” unstuck from your head, my holiday board houses all things related to my favorite time of the year. Thanks to Pinterest for always having the cutest decorations, food ideas, and crafts centered on the holidays, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t solely have a board made just for that.
8. Healthy Snack Board
Yes of course you have a board already dedicated to the many delicious, definitely not nutritious, baked goods easily available on Pinterest. But why shouldn’t you have a healthy foods board too? Even though you still might not eat healthy, it’s hard not to be memorized by the many pins of fruit lined up in rainbow order. My healthy eats board is filled with pictures of delicious acai bowls topped with purple yogurt and granola along with salads filled with raw tuna and an abundance of veggies. Can I loose weight if I just scroll through?
Happy Pinning!
