Big surprise, another list coming at ya! This is a list of 10 works of literature a person should read in their lifetime. There is an article online that explains the reasons you should read. According to Abigail Wise on realsimple.com there are eight really big reasons to read over the course of your life; reading Increases intelligence, boosts your brain power (improving memory and keeping you sharper further into old age), makes you more empathetic, flipping pages can help you understand what you're reading, may help fight Alzheimer's disease, good for relaxation, can help you sleep, reading is also contagious (if your parents are readers you are more likely to be a reader.)
Now after hearing something like that wouldn't you wanna pick up a nice book, drink a cup of coffee, sit by the radio and pretend that it's 1940 again?
Here's a list of ten works I believe everyone should read in their lifetime:
1) The Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald)
2) Frankenstein (Mary Shelly)
3) Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy (Douglas Adams)
4) The Harry Potter Series (J. K. Rowling)
5) The Bible (or another Holy Book for spiritual/educational purposes)
6) The Sherlock Holmes Series (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)
7) The Tale of Despereaux (Kate DiCamillo)
8) Common Sense (Thomas Paine)
9) Great Expectations (Charles Dickens)
10) The Raven (Edgar Allen Poe)
Okay I can't stop there I'm on a roll.
