Dual Enrollment = high school + college

1.College Credit

Dual enrollment is a unique opportunity for high school students to gain college credits. Whether it be through direct enrollment into the college or through an early/ middle college, students are given an opportunity to gain college credits that could be accepted at a student’s college of choice.

2. Experience in a College Setting

Through dual enrollment, high school students are able to experience life as a college student with the safety net of parents or high school teachers to help them. Dual enrollment gives high school students the opportunity to learn how to study for college, how to thrive in college, and how to get the most of their education. Prospective colleges for these dual enrolled students see these students as college prepared and experienced students, which is appealing to prospective colleges.

3. Growth as a Young Adult

Dual enrollment provides high school students with the opportunity to experience a more mature setting. These students are expected to study, prepare, and benefit from these classes. These expectations allow for students to grow and mature in a safe environment that will benefit them in their future endeavors.

4. Finding You Career Interests and Disinterests

Through dual enrollment, high school students are able to experience a variety of classes and career choices. This gives them the opportunity to decide what interests and disinterests them, which allows for the students to enter their prospective colleges with more focus and experience.

Dual enrollment is an incredible opportunity. Many of these early/ middle colleges exist without high school student’s knowledge. Do the research and you just might find one near you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
