Going to college was probably one of the most stressful times of my life. I was so scared of the unknown and the idea of being on my own was not one of my happy thoughts. Little did I know that college was actually going to be the best thing had ever happened to me. Instead of spending all of my time alone and crying, like I thought I would be, I was out exploring the campus and our town with some great people that would soon become my college life lines. With that being said, this is a thank you to all of the people that got me through my freshmen year of college. I never expected to meet people in college that were so supportive and so reliable. I have never had friends like these people and I'm so grateful to each and every one of them. These people showed me so much compassion and kindness. They supported me when I really needed someone and that means something to me.
These are the people that are always down for anything. Rain or shine, day or night, we were always going on crazy fun adventures and I thank you guys for that. Who else would drive to Dallas at 10 p.m. to get cupcakes during finals week? Probably no one else but all of you. Who else would drive to Winstar on a whim with me? Only you crazy and exciting people.
Yes, there are multiple people I need to thank for all of the happy memories but there are some that deserve it more than others. Throughout this entire year of college there has been one person who has pulled through for me constantly and she knows who she is. She has given me an unimaginable friendship that I didn't think was possible and I will forever be in her debt for bringing me back to life. She is the person that will do literally anything with me no matter how crazy it is. She is always down to get milkshakes at 11:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and she's always there when I need a shoulder to cry on. Thank you to my first college friend and my person.
College has changed me for the better and that would have never been possible without all of these amazing people. Thank you to everyone that brought the real me out of myself and let me know that it was okay to be who I truly am. Y'all are some one in a million people and I'm so lucky that I found all of you. I love all of you so much. Thank you for everything you have given me. Words can't describe how grateful I am to all of you.
