5 Signs You're A Patriots Fan Outside Of New England

Brady has been freed, and so has the anger of everyone who isn't a Patriots fan.

1. The angry glares after Brady was freed

Judge Berman made the right choice when he declared Goodell’s actions taken against Brady as “his own brand of justice” and overturned the four game suspension against the GOAT (greatest of all time, duh). However, the large amount of Patriots haters at any location outside of the Northeast were not pleased whatsoever. That day, I wore my Patriots hat with pride, and it was given a laughable amount of sour looks.

2. The looks of dismay as you wear your jersey

The first game of the season was this past Thursday, and that warranted the wearing of my oversize game shirt to all of my classes. I was donning the number 12, of course. As I passed my R.A., I was told that he was majorly disappointed in me. You’ve got to chuckle at how jealousy breeds negativity around here.

3. The fact that the local team can’t even compare

I live in Miami, so the locals here are Dolphins fans. No offense, but can anyone even remember the last time the Dolphins last won a Superbowl? Sometime in the 70’s, I believe? Yeah, its okay to hate us if you ain’t us, but there’s always room for you to jump on the party train and become a bandwagon fan.

4. Everyone’s favorite chant at us is “cheaters!”

“Don’t date a Patriots fan, they’ll just cheat," and “They’ve got small balls” are just a few of the extremely uncreative jeers that I hear on a daily basis about my team. I mean, I do go to school with a large population of students hailing from New York, so I guess that makes sense. Giants and Jets fans alike enjoy sitting around and tossing the same old insults at Patriots fans, because they’ve clearly got nothing better to do. Yes, friend from New York, please post another link on my wall about how some NY journalist thinks the Patriots are cheaters. Ha, ha, jokes on you, though. We have big enough balls to laugh off Deflategate and get our hero back on the field, right where he should be.

5. The overall jealousy that surrounds you, because you’re a loyal fan to the best team in the league

Let’s face it: New England breeds the most passionate sports fans that you will ever meet, and we will stick behind our players, 100 percent. Realistically, we are hated so much because our talent is feared and envied by other teams and their fans. Although being from New England is the best, it is even better to share your hometown pride while far away from home. Go Pats!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
