If you’re from New England, this group of Patriots is one of the more fun and exciting groups we’ve seen in some time. Between the players and coaches, everyone brings something different to the table. Let’s imagine that the 2015-16 Patriots are a graduating high school class, and give out some senior superlatives.
Most Likely to be President: Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick is one of the best leaders of men the league has ever seen. Week in and week out, he devises an extremely concise plan of attack to take down the opposing team, and most of the time he's successful. He never leaves a stone unturned. He also never puts any player above the team, understanding the importance of a collective unit. His uncanny ability to lead and stay calm under pressure makes him a natural fit for office. Is a Belichick presidency totally out of the realm of possibility? I think not. Belichick 2020.
Best Dressed: Tom Brady
As everyone knows, Brady is dominant on the football field. His collective body of work has positioned himself into the greatest quarterback of all time conversation. However, Brady is equally dominant in the fashion world. With the aid of his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, TB12 has taken the league by storm as one of the sharpest dressers in the game, consistently putting on a clinic with his choice of attire. From suits, to shoes, to hats Brady is always dressed to the nines.
Class Clown: Rob Gronkowski
Gronk is one of a kind. Since his arrival in the league in 2010, the Arizona product has not only made a name for himself as one of the game’s most feared tight ends, but also as one of the most fun-loving goofballs. From his touchdown celebrations to his dancing off the field, Gronk loves to the be the life of the party. Yo soy fiesta, indeed.
Most Likely to Succeed: Jamie Collins
Excluding the veterans who have already been wildly successful in the league, Collins might have the brightest future on the Patriots. After being drafted in the second round in 2013, Collins made an immediate impact becoming a fixture on the Pat’s defense. In only his second year in the league, Collins lead the Patriots in tackles and tackles for loss, as well as tying for third in sacks. The ceiling for Collins is very high and it seems he’s on his way to being one of the league’s most premier linebackers
Class Couple: Tom Brady & Julian Edelman
Brady and Edelman have developed an undeniable bromance that has lead to great success for the Patriots offense. Edelman has become one of the best slot receivers in the NFL, as well as one of Brady’s favorite targets. Their unbreakable bond has lead to nearly 300 completions, as well as a game-winning touchdown in last year’s Super Bowl.
Most likely to be a Trillionaire: Robert Kraft
In 1994, Robert Kraft bought the Patriots for 172 million dollars. In the most recent Forbes report, the Patriots are ranked third as the most valuable franchise in all of sports, coming in at a lofty 3.2 billion. Kraft has made a name for himself as one of the most successful and savvy owners in the sports world. He turned a low level team in the 90s into a powerhouse in the 2000s. Having already won four Super Bowls, it seems as though Kraft’s run of success isn’t stopping any time soon.
Congrats to all the winners and the rest of the senior class. We’ll see you all on February 7, 2016 in Santa Clara, California for graduation at Levi Stadium.
