5 Tragedies Overly Nice People Experience Everyday

Being the nicest person people know can be exhausting and challenging. Sharing kindness to the people who surround you is the easiest thing for you to do even when it doesn't feel appreciated. But no matter how much work being the nice friend is, you're never going to stop being your kind self. Overly nice people spend each day trying to make someone else's day better and while doing that the kindness you share affects a greater number of people than expected. However being overly nice does have it's downfalls, and this might make you feel better about being the overly nice friend.

1. You're constantly being asked for advice.

Since you’re willing to lend an ear and words of wisdom to whoever-whenever 24/7, you’re constantly exhausting your kindness. It doesn’t get old for you, but it gets hard to find a moment to yourself. Also everyone knows you’re only a phone call away whether it’s convenient for you or not. Finding time for yourself isn’t easy, especially when half the time you’re advising your friends to “take a deep breath,” and “relax.”

2. You have a lot of friends.. but they aren't real friends.

Having a lot of friends is a weird con of being super nice. You are always questioning whether or not the people around you have good intentions, and everyone once in a while has to evaluate the people you call “friends.” Weeding out the true friends from the fake takes some time for you because you give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Having a hard time identifying who’s a real one and who isn’t is super dangerous for someone who is overly nice. Cutting people off becomes nearly impossible, and is why having a ton of friends is the biggest downfall for someone who is overly nice. Toxic people stay in your life too long while you exhaust your energy trying to please them.

3. You think about everything you do before you do it.

You’re cautious about your actions because you know the weight your words carry. You speak gently when needed and honestly when it’s necessary. People really take what you say to heart because you’re words are valuable. With your kind words come extremely kind actions, especially when it comes to life’s “little things.” You live to surprise your friends with thoughtful notes, pick-me-up treats when they need it and road trips in your car just for fun. You’re thoughtfulness gets you far, and everyone is thankful for all you do.

4. Forgiveness is very easy for you.

Since you're always seeking the good in everyone, you give a lot of forgiveness and second chances. More often than not you're not letting bad people back into you life. Rather you are finding clarity with those whom you don't always see eye to eye with and keeping them as 'forever friends.' You're not afraid to stand your ground in an argument, which is how you sort out the good friends over temporary ones. At this point in you're life you know that true friends will want the same thing as you do in an argument; resolution. You're forgiveness grants you the ability to find the good friends over just the okay ones.. which isn't such a bad thing.

5.You're kindness isn't instantly contagious

You're kindness extends further than just being there for your friends. While you're wondering how your one soul is going to make the world a better place, a stranger doesn't say thank you for holding the door. Or a stranger is rude to you just because they don't care if you're polite and nice. Some people just don't care, and it's not your job to fix the world's problems all in one day. However your random acts of kindness can affect others in a very impactful manner. If you can make a stranger smile with your presence alone, you're causing a positive butterfly affect in the world. A kind soul like you can never stop spreading kindness because it does have an impact, and it is meaningful. Think about all the people that randomly compliment you, or go out of their way to tell you you're doing a great job. Those people are just like you, overly nice, yet exactly what this world needs. Keep spreading you're positivity all over this world. Because everyday you're improves the well being of this world, even if it isn't immediately.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
