Hey you.

I just wanted to write to you and tell you that everything is going to be okay.
I know you're going through a lot right now, which is typical in High School, but it's going to be okay.

You know that boy you love? He's going to hurt you. Let him. But don't worry. The pain is only temporary. He's going to make you so happy, and then he's going to take that all away. But I promise you, it's going to be worth it. He teaches you a lot. How to love, how to treat someone you love, and how to break their heart. The boy you love now will be nothing but a memory in a few years, and that's okay. You're going to meet someone great.

You're going to go on to do great things. I'm sure you don't believe that right now but I promise, you will. Of course with all successes there are failures as well. I know you don't have everything figured out right now but you will. It's all going to be okay.
Remember those days where you break down and cry? It's okay. Crying is okay. I know you're confused but it's going to be okay.

Graduation is soon, how exciting. I bet you're afraid of leaving all of your friends behind, but it's going to be okay, you'll make new friends. Let me warn you now, you're going to lose touch with some of the people you love dearly, but it's going to be okay. I want you to remember that distance means nothing. Just because you can't physically see someone doesn't mean you can't be friends. The ones that matter are going to stick around, I promise.

I know I'm making a lot of promises to you, and maybe you're worried I'm going to break them. Everything is going to work out.

You're going to see some of your friends go through some very hard times. And you're going to experience them as well. I want to tell you that even though you're afraid something bad is going to happen, even if they do... you're going to overcome it; you are so strong.

Whatever challenges you're facing now, they are nothing. Every single problem you face is going to teach you something that you can't be taught through school, or through others. You need to experience these things to become stronger as a person.

People can be rude, I know. You're beautiful. You are so worth it and you deserve the world. You have the most beautiful personality, and so many people that love you. I know there are days when you're going to think that is all a lie, but it's true. In the next few years, people are going to enter your life and make your world beautiful again.

I want you to know that college is a scary place, yes. But don't be afraid. I know right now you don't have a clue what you want to study, or what you want to be when you grow up, but you'll figure it out in time. Remember, there are people everywhere that are out there to help you become the person you were meant to be. Don't be afraid to ask for help..

I know this may be a lot to take in, but don't forget the things I've said. You're going to learn and grow so much over the next few years.

And when you look back on who you were now, you wont even believe it.

Good luck. And remember it's all going to be okay.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
