No matter how many times I try to write this it all starts the same, I am so proud of you. Watching you both grow up has been the most amazing part of my life for the past 18 years. You never cease to amaze me with everything you do, whether it is playing baseball or basketball, becoming young men, or just watching Harry Potter with me, having you around has been a treat. As we all know I always wanted a little sister, but you guys didn’t turn out half bad. You are the reason I keep smiling on a bad day, the reason I love coming home and overall the most supportive people aside from mom and dad in my life. I love that I get to brag about all of your accomplishments to my friends with a huge smile on my face. Whether it be you being proud of me for getting a job at The Odyssey, me being proud of you for pitching a no hitter during playoffs or being a black belt in Taekwondo, we are each other's number one fans. All of your successes in life make me feel like the luckiest person in the world to be a part of it all.
Ever since I can remember, it was always just you and I, Nick. We grew up together and were practically the same height and everything. You have always been my go-to about anything, and as we’ve gotten older our relationship has blossomed, even though you love to make fun of me for just about anything. I’ve found that I can still one-up you on a few things, like that I’ve never been afraid to answer the phone when it rings-even when the caller ID says “Poppy Home”. I also can definitely cook better than you, and even though you never let me play, I’ve been brushing up on my Madden skills. Growing up along side you has helped me grow as a person that the two-year age difference is so irrelevant at this point.
Vin-man! When I was 7-years-old and you were just born, I remember never wanting to let you go. I always wanted to hug, kiss or pick you up. We all know that you are mom and dad’s favorite, and they make that pretty clear. Even with our age difference, you never cease to constantly make me laugh or help me bully Nick (middle sibling syndrome). Although we’ve given you our fair share of grief too, you always take it like a champ (for example, constant wedgies). I love being able to pick you up from school when I’m back home and just talk to you about your day; middle school days are the best. Being able to come home to what seems like a new pet every time I get back to school is always a treat. Rocky the lizard is the newest addition, RIP S’mores the guinea pig.
Thank you both for being such a constant joy in my life and making me proud to call myself your big sister.
Love,
Liv
