Dear U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team,
Good luck in Rio ladies!
You are all amazing gymnasts and people and I wish you the best as you head off to compete for our country. Thank you for being such great representations of USAG and of the United States.
I cannot imagine how wonderful this experience will be for all of you. You have all worked so hard to reach this goal, and now all of that hard work has paid off. You are officially Olympic gymnasts. This goal is something all young gymnasts have at some point in their career. Very few gymnasts reach the point where that dream becomes a reality, but you have done it and the rest of the gymnastics community could not be more proud.
Gymnastics is not just a sport, it is a way of life. Whether someone is involved with the sport for a few months or a few years, the lessons still stick with them. The time management, commitment and trust in yourself are crucial life elements that gymnastics teaches, just to name a few.
Gymnastics also never truly leaves you. Whether you become a coach, a judge or a fan, the world of gymnastics is always a huge part of your life and you never seem to miss a moment of it in person or on TV.
That being said, all of us current and former gymnasts are watching you. While the whole world is a huge audience to perform for during the Olympic Games, your community of gymnasts will be keeping track of your every move. What can we say, we love you and love seeing what you are up to.
So go out on that floor and stick it (for all my gymnasts out there who have seen the movie a million times). We have all seen what you are capable of and why you were chosen for this Olympic team. Your skills are jaw dropping and the ways you carry yourselves are inspiring.
Soak this experience up for all of us who have dreamed of being where you are right now. Your dreams are coming true, now go catch them.
We all love you and are rooting for you.
