Mom,
I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for being there when I have a bad day, when I need someone to talk to, or when I need help in the barn. There isn't a day where I am never thankful for you. Whether it was dance class, school sports, and riding, you were always there to push me to be the best I could be. No matter what I go through, good or bad, I know I can always look to you for guidance.
Thank you for begin a role model. Since I was a little girl, you've taught me that you can't always get what you want. When you want something, or want to achieve something, you go after it and you work for it. Nothing in life is handed to you, and you have shown me just that. Working toward my degree, I have had my struggles - not knowing what I want to study, or not knowing what I want to do after graduation. Every step so far, you have been there, telling me I can accomplish anything I put my mind to, and I thank you for that.
Thank you for being the best horse show mom. When I needed my boots cleaned, or if A needed a well-deserved carrot, you were there. From the time I had my first riding lesson, to my first course, to each fall, you were there. Since I started riding, you and I have spent every day together; each lesson, each show, and each vet appointment. I wouldn't have wanted to share what I love with anyone else. You make having horses and being a part of this sport worth it. You push me to work my butt off to become the rider you know I can be. I may have my moments after a bad ride, but you always tell me that it's going to be okay. Thank you for your support. I know it hasn't been easy, with my injuries and A's injuries, but what fun would that be if nothing crazy happened?
And lastly, thank you for being you. You have shown me unconditional love, strength, and many more attributes that I hope to have when I become a mother. You are a strong, caring, heartwarming person, and I hope everyone is grateful enough to have a mom like you. I know I may not say it all the time, but I am so thankful for you, and everything that you do for me. I would not be the person I am today, would not have all that I have today if it weren't for you, and all your hard work.
With love always,
Your baby
