Dear Mom,

Thank you for giving birth to an amazing human. Even though I may have driven you crazy over the years. I know things between us may have had rough patches, but what do you except. We are both very a like.

You raised me to respect myself and others, never to give up on myself, you taught me to be strong and independent. Without this I would not be the person I am today. I would not have the values and morals that I do without you.

Over the years, you taught me everything I know. We spent so much time together. Between driving from this and that and letting me lay on the couch with you.

Thank you for the countless times you took care of me when I was sick and for never leaving (even though you did not have a choice).

Thank you for always been there when I needed you. For always being my shoulder to cry on. You never even thought twice about it.

I know there were times that you had to put your foot down and not be my friend. I would be mad at you for a time but I would get over it. Thank you for doing all that you can for me. You never put yourself first. You have always put us before anything else.

We may have fought over the years, but at the end of the day you are still my mom. You know what is best for me before I even do. You know what I need to do before I do it.

I would not be the person I am without you pushing me.

I know things have been hard over the years, but we get through them together. If it was not for you, I would not have gotten through a lot of things in my life.

I know I no longer live in the house and am 185 miles away from you, but I feel like that has helped me become more independent and has helped me look back at our relationship.

You did so much for me growing up, you helped me whenever I needed something.

Thank you for always understanding and letting me live my life and never letting me give up on myself.

You never told me what to do and you always let me go down my own path. You let me figure out what I needed to. You let me make my decisions and told me to go with it.

Thank you for your endless support and love. I would not have made it through life without you.

You have made me respect so much in life and you allowed me to be adventurous. Thank you for all of the trips you have taken me on and showing me the world. You have given me a different outlook on life, and it can not get much better than that.

You will always be my best friend, my number one supporter, but you will always be my mother.
