Dear Little Sister,

Congratulations! You have finally made it!

First off, I want to say how proud I am of all you have accomplished. Throughout these past years, you have strived and persevered through school and all the work you have been given. You never gave up even when something was tough. You should be proud of yourself as well.

I can’t believe the time has finally come for you. I know I only graduated a year ago, but because it is still so fresh in my mind, I know exactly how you are feeling and it makes me reminisce about my own time in high school. I remember when we were just little kids in elementary school playing in our backyard thinking that time goes so slow and that we will never grow up, but the older we get, the faster time seems to move.

I hope you got everything you wanted out of your four years of high school and your twelve years of school. I also hope that you are happy with how everything turned out during your school years. You should be; you did an excellent job!

Now, it is time for you to go off to college and into the real world. College is great and you are going to have an amazing time studying, learning, and making new friends and memories. Like high school, you have to make the most out of every opportunity you come across. Enjoy these next four years of your life.

Even with just one year of college, you’ll learn so much more about yourself than you’ll ever expect to. My advice to you is to keep an open-mind and trust your instincts.

Also, now that you are entering the “real world” you are expected to be an adult. I know certain little things are scary that you know you can do. I know you’re scared and feel awkward at the same time because mostly you just don’t want to do it and mom pretty much spoke for you half the time. Despite that, do not be scared. Everyone is and everyone must do it. Eventually, you’ll get over the fear (maybe).

As your one and only big sister, believe me when I tell you that I will always be here for you not matter what happens whenever you need me. Despite our ups and downs and our stupid and petty little fights, day or night, you can call me whenever you feel the need. I will always be around to help you out with whatever you may need.

I hope you have an amazing next four years at college. Good luck! So once again, congratulations! I will love you always!

Love always,

Your Favorite Big Sister

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
