To my one of a kind dad:

First and foremost, thank you for providing for our family in every way possible. So many days I watch you come home from work tired and wore out, but yet your happy-go-lucky attitude never leaves. It is not just the food on our table and material things I am thanking you for providing, though.

Thank you for bringing so much love into our lives. Your love is unconditional and unwavering. You not only speak your love to us, but you show your love to us. You go out of your way to help in any way you can. I can always count on you to fly in like superman and save my day whenever I run into problems like getting my car stuck in the middle of nowhere. It is such a blessing to know that I can always call on you and know that you will be there for me; it is such a blessing because I know that unfortunately some girls have had to learn to live without a superman like you, and I cannot imagine my life without you.

Thank you for providing so much joy in our home. One of my favorite things about you is your child-like joy. You get so much laughter out of scaring us by jumping out of a dark corner and watching us scream. We all loved participating in wrestling matches with you, although none of us even had the slightest chance of beating you. We would try to push you in the pool, but we all knew who was actually going to get thrown in. Thank you for teaching us to live our life with joy.

Thank you for teaching us how to have a close relationship with God by providing the best example through your own walk with Him. You stressed to us the importance of talking to God and reading His Word on a daily basis. I would wake up in the middle of the night to find you downstairs quietly praying for our family. You have helped so many people who were in need. You have displayed God through your actions and I thank you for that.

Thank you for being compassionate in the hardest parts of my life. When I was heart-broken from relationships you were always there with a listening ear and much-needed advice. You so thoughtfully made by days better by surprising me with flowers and little notes in my car.

Words cannot begin to express to you my thankfulness to have you in my life. I believe that when a girl has a father like you in her life she is much more confident in herself. I believe she holds the guys she dates to a standard because she was treated too well by her father to be treated any less by some guy. I truly believe I have the best dad in the whole wide world.
