Everyone is beautiful in their own way. However, with social media, it is not hard for people to bash someone that is different than them. There is a constant battle between skinny and "thick" girls. We are always told what we should look like and someone is always commenting on our weight. I am here on behalf of all skinny girls and say what we don't want to hear from others.

1. Do you ever eat?

Yes, I eat. I may be around 100 lbs., but trust me- I eat!! Having a high metabolism can be a curse and a blessing. The blessing being we can eat whatever we want. The curse is being almost 19 and still having to shop in the teen department instead of the women's. Another curse is having other people constantly ask if I eat. I may not eat a whole lot in public due to a weak stomach, but I could probably eat my parents out of a home.

2. You need some meat on your bones!

Again, yes, we eat! And we know everyone can see our bones practically through our skin. However, telling us that we need meat on our bones isn't going to magically make our bones disappear under our skin. We can't make our bodies change if God didn't make them able to change.

3. "Men do not want sticks and bones, they want curves."

Okay, this is probably one of the worst ones I hear. A true man and better yet, a true man of God isn't going to care whether you are a skinny-Minnie or have more of a behind than the next girl. Our bodies will change over time. That's why we learn to love with our hearts, not our eyes. A man should love you when you're young and fresh and also when you grow older and your butt starts sagging! His love shouldn't change.

4. "Thick girls are winning?"

Okay..winning at what exactly? You can fill the jeans that we skinny girls dream of fitting into- good for you. When did our body size become a competition? Why can't we go through life loving our bodies?

5. "Real women have curves."

So, when did not having curves make me any less of a woman? Our bodies do not define us. They do not determine whether we are women or not. Stop saying this. Saying this won't make you any more of a woman, it just makes you prideful and arrogant.

I am not here to bash girls that aren't skinny. We were all created in God's image and we are all beautiful. I am here to defend girls that are too shy to say anything. Our bodies were not created for us to be in competition with one another. It tires me to see all of the posts either against a certain group of girls. This world is cruel, no one loves like we are supposed to love. So instead of bashing each other, we need to lift each other up and love our bodies. As long as we are taking care of our bodies and keeping them healthy, it shouldn't matter how much meat is on them. We are all loved by our Creator and it is time we start loving each other.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
