At this point in the season the Yankees have a lot of work to do, but they are not giving up. The Bronx Bombers have done extraordinary work to climb from the bottom of the American League to fit themselves in the third place spot. This is an amazing thing to watch as the season unfolds and it bring a lot of good vibes into the Yankee fan base because it has been six years since the Bronx Bombers have won a World Series Championship. The Yankees success has come from multiple areas of the ball clubs, but a significant aspect of their success comes from getting more recruits. They went as far to get a former Yankee to help them continue with their success as a ball club. The charismatic Nick Swisher will most likely be wearing pin stripes in the near future as the Yankees try to maintain the greatness that they have acquired so far this season.
With the Yankees making their way up to third place in the A.L. and continuing on the road to first, the re-signing of Swisher's name couldn't have popped back up at a better time. According to MLB standings the Yankees have 22 wins and 22 losses, but they have a 13-10 home record along with 9-12 for their away game record. The record shows that the team has done a tremendous amount of work to get themselves back into the winning circle.
Swisher can add flare to the growing fire because of amazing athletic abilities. According to PinstripeAlley, "After signing a minor league deal with the Yankees, Swisher has gotten off to a hot start in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He has six hits with one home run and three RBI in 17 plate appearances over just four games, and now people are starting to talk about him like he's a clear option for the Yankees at this point in the season." If a guy like Swisher can add a more dynamic look to the Yankee club and give fans something to look forward to, then by all means, the Yankees should definitely bring him up from Triple-A.
The Yankees are a veteran team, so at this point their blueprints require them to add depth to their plans. According to Chat Sport, "The former All-Star hit over 100 homers in four great years in the Bronx, and it looks like he will return to provide some much-needed depth." Swisher has always been an electrifying fan favorite to Yankee fans and it would only make sense that Swisher comes back home to the Bronx. According to the article, "Ever since the Atlanta Braves released former Yankees fan favorite Swisher at the end of spring training, the thought of bringing him back has been lurking throughout the Yankee universe." Every team has to have a way to keep their fans interest and the addition of Swisher would have fans locked in every time he is on the field he finds a way to pull off an amazing play with the glove or hit long home runs. Along with all of this as Yankee fans, you have to take into account about how Swisher feel about getting a chance to play one of his former teams.
According to an April 6, 2016 article from USAToday, Swisher stated,"The fact they let me come out here and work is great. It keeps me in the game, keeps me going strong, and I appreciate that. This place is like family" and essentially that is what a ball club should feel like. When Swisher walks out on the field in pin stripes at Yankee Stadium, it will be like welcoming home a long time family member because of how much he did for this ball club. Bringing a guy like Swisher will probably enhance the capability of everyone else because players tend to feed of the energy that is around the ball club. Swisher has always brought energy and charisma to the team. With like energy like that flowing around in the ball club, it will most likely uplift the team and bring the Bronx Bombers back to life and carry them through the season and possibly to the World Series stage.
Swisher is a key component to the Yankee success because of his style on the baseball field. The Yankees have been dominating so far through the season, so every possible addition that is made is essential. When Swisher officially puts on the pin stripes again, his contribution will give the Yankee ball club an electrifying look that fans are use to seeing.
