She has been there since birth,
Watched me grow and change.
She has been there through thick and thin,
Watched me smile and cry.
This lady isn't superwoman,
But she seems like it to me.
And when I become a mother like her,
I hope I'm half the woman as she.
I don't tell you this enough, mom, but I love you. You have my whole heart and I wouldn't trade you for anything.
You are my most loyal companion. You are always on my team. No matter what. Even when you don't agree with my decisions, you support me. That is unconditional. Your love and support is unconditional and I'm more grateful for that than anything.
If you'd like to get technical, you legitimately are my day one. You have been around me more than anyone else and know all of my ins and outs. The funny thing is, you know my true self and still love me. That's more than I can say about most people.
You are capable of an undeniable amount of respect, gratuity, compassion, empathy, and above all else, love. When I'm sad, you feel for me. When I'm happy, you are happy for me. When I am confused, you try and help me figure it out. I don't know where I'd be without your countless years of advice giving.
I've gotten through the best of times and the worst of times all with you by my side. College decisions, heartbreaks, crossroads, friendship problems, prom dresses, even nail polish color. No problem too big, no problem too small. You would drop everything for me in a heartbeat.
I'm not saying you're perfect because there is no such thing, but you are pretty close. And I'm not saying our relationship is perfect and smooth sailing because we have our share of fights. And let's be real, you get on my back and I annoy the crap out of you a good percentage of the time but I wouldn't give up any of that because I appreciate what we have. It's a bond unbreakable by anything. A bond that only a mother and daughter could share.
So, I know I don't tell you this enough, mom, and I don't really know how to express my feelings well so... I just wanted to say I love you and thank you for everything you do for myself and our family. You are my rock.
