Summer is just around the corner. School is ending, and everyone will be doing their favorite summer activities. To do these activities, I believe everyone needs the perfect summer wardrobe. So, here are some of my picks for summer fashion essentials.

1. A cute pair of printed or textured shorts

Shorts are essential to any summer wardrobe. Do they have to be printed? No, but the print brings something extra to the outfit. Plus, bright colors are what summer is all about!

2. A perfect sundress

A sundress can be interpreted in many different ways. On Pinterest, sundresses come up as many different types of dresses. I feel that any dress that is casual and you can just throw on is considered a sundress. Don’t be afraid to express yourself with this one!

3. A cool romper or jumpsuit.

I do have a sad truth with this one: not everyone can pull this off. I for one cannot, but I still love them. They are perfect for a day of shopping or taking a walk on the beach. Just pick the one that is right for you.

4. A chambray shirt.

A chambray shirt is perfect for any wardrobe in any season because they are so versatile. You can dress them up with a cute skirt and an amazing statement necklace or pair it with some white shorts for a day on the town. You really need to run out and get you one of these!

5. Any and every color sandal.

Sandals are great for any and every outfit. They come in all different colors and styles to match any outfit. Everyone should have at least on pair of these shoes!

6. A Sun Hat.

Sun hats are perfect for the beach. However, you can also wear them with any cute, summer outfit. They come in all shapes and colors, so there is one made for everyone!

7. A stylish skirt.

Maxi, mini, mid … they all are great for the summer weather. They are great for the day and also for the long summer nights.

8. A unique tank top.

Tank tops are what you see everyone wearing each summer. You can find some that are causal or even some that are a little bit fancy. You should really find one for your summer closet.

9. A Swimsuit

If you don’t have one of these for summer, then you are not ready for the pool or beach season. I can almost guarantee that you will need a swimsuit for at least one occasion, but most likely for more than one. I personally love the high-waisted swimsuits, but you should get whatever one you love and makes you feel confident.

Bonus Item:

An Evening Outfit

You really never know when you may need a nice, evening outfit. I know that when you go to the beach, you don’t usually go out to a fancy dinner. Still, you never know, so I would definitely find an outfit for a night out on the town.

Summer is a time to express your style. Bright colors and patterns add statements to any wardrobe. There are so many items that you should have in your closet this summer, but these are just a few of my summer fashion essentials.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
