Cows: Big, smelly, fluffy, poopy creatures; some of which we may recognize through our juicy bacon cheeseburgers.
These are the friends that I have chosen as my favorite animal. I own probably twenty cow stuffed animals, ten or so little figurine cows, I've been tagged in approximately 100 give-or-take cow Facebook statuses, and I even used to have cow printed car interior. Everyone who knows me knows that cows are the way to my heart.
But why do I love these precious friends of mine? I'll tell you!
1. They make for an amazing dinner.
2. Cows do not intentionally harm you. They just want to be your friend. Plus, they are just awkward, and they stare a lot.
3. They need care, and desire to feel loved. Their hearts beat 60 to 70 beats per minute and they are naturally social animals.
4. Cows are motherly creatures. They can even sleep while standing, which I'm sure all human mothers wish they could accomplish at times.
5. Even after they are cleaned, they will still have dirt remaining on their skin. (Similar to how we are with our sins after we are made new in Christ).
So as you can see, these simple creatures are actually quite unique when you see all of the special traits that God has made of them.
P.S. Cows make for some amazing jokes.
